Paired Reading with P5/6/7
P1/2 have been enjoying paired reading twice weekly with pupils from P5/6/7. Pupils have been reading together and practising their comprehension skills through discussion and quick written tasks.
Creating a Bird Box
We loved having Gavin in from BASC. We learned about wild birds in the local area and ogether we built a bird box which is now mounted out on the pitch.
Extreme Weather
Primary 1/2 have been learning about different types of weather. They found out our different seasons, what to wear and how to stay safe in different weathers. They wanted to find out about extreme weather such as tornados and sandstorms which led to research on natural disasters including earthquakes and volcanoes. This topic inspired lots of lovely artwork!
