Advanced Higher Music
This year the music Advanced Higher course assessment is comprised of the following components-
A performance on 2 instruments which will be assessed in May (worth 50%)
A composition, composition review and an analysis of a chosen piece which must be completed by the end of February (together worth 15%)
A listening examination which is taking place on the 24th April this year (worth 35%).
Pupils are expected to revise the music concepts they cover in class on a weekly basis, as well as practise both instruments regularly to develop their skills in time for the final exam. This should account for at least 2 hours per week.
Pupils can use the materials provided on Microsoft Team, as well as MyMusicOnline and/or Achieve (links below) for their revision at home.
