Higher Music
In 2024, the Music Higher assessment is made up of:
A performance on 2 instruments will be assessed on the 21st March (worth 50%)
A composition and review which must be completed by 9th February (worth 15%)
A listening examination which is taking place on the 24th April this year (worth 35%)
Pupils are expected to practise both instruments regularly to build their skills for the final exam. This should account for 2 hours per week at Higher level.
Pupils should be revising the concepts covered in class weekly using presentations and past papers provided on our Microsoft S4-6 Music Team. They can also use the platforms "MyMusicOnline" and/or "Achieve" platforms (links below) to support their revision at home.
