Scotlands Landscape/Geoscience
This topic will introduce pupils to the history of the Earth, how it’s changed over this time, specifically looking at mass extinctions and ice-ages.
The class will learn about what caused the last age and how Scotland’s landscape changed during this time.
Map Skills
The pupils will be introduced to Ordnance Survey maps, we will practice basic skills such as grid references and compass direction. The class will then learn about the types of farming that occur across Britain, and then we’ll learn how we can identify the type of farming on an OS map.

Nepal Earthquake
This topic will introduce pupils to physical geography and how earthquakes happen. It will focus on the Nepal earthquake as well as the writing skills essential to success in Geography.
Environmental Regions
This topic will focus on the Polar Regions. Allowing pupils to identify links between climate, physical features and living things in a harsher climate to our own. It will also look at how human activity has impacted the Tundra environment.
