History Skills & Witchcraft in Scotland
History skills include learning how we find out about the past, the type of sources that can be used, and why some sources may be more useful than others.
The class will learn about why people believed in witches in the past, and how people who were suspected of witchcraft were treated.
Slavery in America
The pupils will learn about the trans-Atlantic slave trade, how it came about, what conditions were like on-board the slave ships and how slaves were treated on arrival in the Americas. We’ll also look at how the slave trade finally came to an end.

Scottish Wars of Indepedence
The class will cover the period from the death of Alexander III to the Battle of Bannockburn and the Declaration of Arbroath. With a focus on the role of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce.
Nazi Germany & the Holocaust
The class will study the rise of Hitler and the Nazis Party, life in Nazi Germany as well as the treatment of Jews. They will also look at the Holocaust.
