At Langholm Academy we run 3 Pupil Committees:

Pupil Council which comprises 2 pupils from each PSP class, voted for by their peers. We meet once per month with the Headteacher in the library to discuss a range of issues including school dinners, curriculum choices, learning environment and fundraising events.

LGBTQI+ Allies Group, which is held in the Art room and provides a safe space for pupils to come together and share ideas on how to ensure equality and inclusion for all at Langholm Academy. We meet once per month with teaching staff and senior leaders.

Eco/Sustainability group, which is held in the library and is made up of volunteers who are interested in helping us consider ways to become more eco friendly and to make sustainable choices for Langholm Academy. We meet once per month with teaching staff and the Headteacher.

Everyone is welcome to join the committes, we operate an open policy door for them.

All minutes for these comittees are shared with teaching staff for any actions, and are displayed in the school corridor, on the ground floor display area.
