Term 1 overview
Our first term we will be exploring the world of dragons through our class novel 'The boy who grew dragons'. We will also be carrying out science investigations about Sound - what is sound and how sounds are made. Take a look at our termly overview for more information.

Term 2 - Materials
This term our topic is Materials. We will be investigating and classifying the properties of different materials and applying our knowledge to practical challenges. Take a look at our term 2 overview below.

Understanding how materials interact to create our very own lava lamps
Term 3 - The Ice Age and The Titanic
This term we have voted to do two mini topics that incorporate lots of inter-disciplinary learning. We will start with a focus on The Ice Age and then explore The Titanic. We will link our learning to science, literacy and expressive arts and discover how the world and animals have evolved and what we can do to tackle climate change.

Term 4 - All things living
As we enter term 4 we will be looking at all things living. We will be looking at and grouping living things, including identifying simple food chains. We will be exploring the parts of plants and conducting experiments that help us learn what plants need to live. We will be developing our creativity skills through input from Creation mill and the Ram Tam programme. Take a look at our overview to see what else we will be doing in our very busy final term.
